Self-service business intelligence depends on managers and directors learning the skills necessary to make their own reports rather than requesting reports and dashboards from pricy programmers and consultants. This cookbook provides outstanding instruction, examples, and screenshots that can be referenced by both beginner and more advanced report makers.

The book is written by Paul te Braak, who is a lead business intelligence consultant in Australia and is one of the developers on the DAX Studio project, and he has put together an outstanding cookbook. When the book was released I was surprised and excited.

Good technology books usually come in one of two forms. Some of the books on my shelves go deep technically, contain useful tidbits of code but read like the phonebook.
